60,000 HD sets in UK by Xmas

A new report from analysts Informa Media predicts that there will be over 60,000 HD ready TV sets installed in UK homes by the end of the year. Not a huge number but it certainly gives Sky something to shoot at when it debuts its HD service in 2006. The report authors aren’t exactly sure quite how big the HD universe will be by 2010. It does say though that 2.7 million HD sets will have been sold by then.
