MTV goes high def

MTV is set to launch a HDTV channel in January – but only in the US. Digital Spy reports that the channel will be called MHD and showcase programmes for all the MTV networks (VH1, MTV etc). There will also be some original content. No news on a UK launch, but MTV is a hot contender to join Sky’s package when it debuts in spring /summer.
