Toshiba is now apparently saying that its debut HD DVD player will reach the US stores in early 2006. The manufacturer had initially promised a late 2005 release. Tosh has also confirmed it has upped the amount of storage on the disc. It is offering a double-side disc which takes the data capacity from 15 to 30 Gigabytes. Can't imagine we’ll see a HD DVD player in the UK for some while yet though.
