Watch out plasma, LCD screens are getting bigger and cheaper. Of course we know about the huge monsters from Sharp and Samsung, but now even a company like Dell is offering a 37inch model.
Available for just £1599, it is one of the cheapest large screen LCD sets available. Due to go on sale very shortly the W3706MC is of course HD ready and features a good range of socketry including HDMI, DVI and HD Component.
Dell claims the set, and its 32 inch sibling the £1259 W3202MC, are ultra slim and can easily be hung on a wall. Other features include SRS® TruSurround(tm) provides virtual surround sound, 30 watt detachable speakers and table-top stands. They also have a picture in picture option and a pair of analogue TV tuners – though alas not a digital one.
