Samsung's 80inch plasma goes on sale

The world's largest plasma screen TV, which is of course HD compatible, has just gone on sale – but only in Korea. The Samsung  HPR8072, which retails for the equivalent of around £75,000, will be available in the US before Christmas and in the UK in early 2006. Samsung has an even bigger 102inch model which it unveiled at CES in Las Vegas. There are no plans for a commercial launch of that set though.
