The making of the Sony BRAVIA ad
'If a job's worth doing it's worth doing well' as my old ma used to say. Certainly the guys at Sony's ad agency have taken her words to heart (or maybe they just fancied a collective jolly to 'Frisco). For rather than get a few scenes from Bullitt and drop a load of virtual balls onto it using their flashy Apple Macs, every single frame of the new BRAVIA ad was shot on camera - with the main sequence involving a 23-man camera crew. What's more, an entire block was closed off while special compressed-air cannons shot the balls into the air and earth moving equipment poured thousands down the street. You can check out the making of the ad at the BRAVIA website.
