Toshiba delays launch of HD DVD players
Anyone hoping to leap on the new DVD replacement format bandwagon this year is going to be sorely disappointed it seems. The format wars are now well on the way so it is very likely that every company involved should be rushing to get their product out first. Toshiba, itself one of the creators of HD DVD technology has announced a delay in the arrival of players of the new format to the U.S. until February 2006 Obviously that means Europe will be a little further down the pecking order and, more interestingly, that the launch will be closer to the anticipated time of Sony’s new PS3 console launch…
