LCD HDTVs now under £500
Fancy a 27inch HD ready TV but can’t afford it? Well join the club, but it appears that prices are really coming down. Amazon is now offering the Videoseven LTV27CH for under £500. It has all the bells and whistles including 1280X720 (WXGA) resolution, picture in picture and Progressive Scan. It doesn't however have an HDMI link. Instead it use DVI – but don’t worry it is HDCP compatible so you will be able to view the upcoming Sky HD transmissions on it. The only downer is that you’ll have to factor in a few quid for a HDMI to DVI adaptor. There’s also a 32inch the LTV32H available for £700. In case you are wondering Videoseven is a German company. Anyone know any more about them?

I purchased one of these products in August, the 27" model. The sound was very feeble, no base at all, but useable. 2 weeks after purchase the picture vanished leaving only sound, 4 weeks later the unit was returned from repair, 6 hours of use and the unit dies again!! The unit was returned a second time, three weeks after that it was back in my lounge, and 2 days latre I have no Sound and picture. 3 faults, in only a couple of weeks useage - wouldn't ever touch there products again.
