Currys showing HDTV
Want to have quick glimpse at HDTV? Well many stores are now running HDTV demonstrations with top-end LCD and plasma sets showing invariably documentary type footage which is stored on a hard disk. We popped into Currys the other day and saw a few minutes of the usual stuff (beaches, fishes, animals, skydivers etc) on a loop on several LG TVs. The demo seems to be doing the trick to for it seems that everyone who in the store looking at flat screens invariably chose the LG models. Of course they didn't have a clue that in order to se the pictures they’d need HD footage from Sky, Telewest or whoever, but it certainly illustrates that punters can instantly see the benefit of the enhanced picture quality.
