This is now the largest HD LCD TV in creation but sadly one aimed at professionals and not ordinary living rooms. Sounds like a good job to me if absolutely need a 65” LCD telly. Sure, this certainly isn’t the biggest HDTV we’ve ever seen; CES 2006 was witness to Panny’s 103” behemoth, but Sharp’s offering is pushing the potential of LCD ever higher. The PN-655 offers brightness of 400cd/m2, 170 degree viewing and a 700:1 contrast ratio and will be arriving in Japan next month. No details on prices or European release yet.
