Telewest TVDrive on sale
If you have popped into Dixons recently you might have spotted a promotion for Telewest's HD-compatible Sky+ rival the TVDrive. Apparently the system launched, very quietly I might add, on March 1st and Telewest is now taking orders for the boxes. A full announcement about the TVDrive is expected in the next few hours.
Interestingly the Telewest promo in Dixons features the words High Definition rather prominently. However customers who do check the HD content out on the TVDrive are probably going to be little disappointed. So far there is only the BBC's Pride documentary and The Magic Flute in full HD with several other programmes upscaled to HD. Telewest told us today that there would be more HD very soon, but couldn't put a date on it. Here’s hoping it’ll be sooner rather than later.

Teleest are indeed taking orders! Mine is booked for installation 15 March 2006. Chance to start to catch up with by brother, in the USA, who has had HD for nearly two years now. CSI, The West Wing, etc, in HD looks great on his plasma screen.
