Sony and Arsenal create first HD ready football stadium

Arsenal_logo_203x152 Arsenal has a new 60,000 stadium opening in time for next season - and it's set to be the first HD ready football ground in the country.

The club has signed a deal with Sony to equip the new Emirates Stadium with a range of products to keep fans entertained and informed. These include 439 digital screens on the ground, with all screens able to handle HD Images. Live content will be produced in a special HD production gallery, which then feeds content to the large screen displays.

To enable this, Sony has created HD streaming receiver cards which are directly installed into each display.

Adrian  Ford, Commercial Director, at Arsenal said: "Our  vision  was  to create the most advanced, first HD capable stadium in Europe.  With  Sony on our side, we are confident that we will achieve this goal."

Nice one Sony! But couldn't you have chosen a better club for this? Like the mighty Leeds United who are worthy of all our adoration???
