Demonstrating its support for its own new disc format, Sony has unveiled the RC300 series desktop Vaio through the SonyStyle US website. Information is a bit scarce at the moment but the RC300 is shaping up to be a bit of home entertainment monster with support for all manner of Blu-ray tasks including the ability to burn and play BDs and create full 1080 high definition disc content from, say, one of Sony’s HD camcorders.
Other features include a PCI-E graphics card and the option of up to 2TB of disc space – surely you can’t tell me it’s possible for a home user to fill that up legally? Price and availability is still up in the air but it will undoubtedly be after the Blu-ray players make their debut.
