An interesting thought that we've mentioned before at HDTV UK: what impact is high-definition going to have on those in front of the camera?
As the Express on Sunday puts it:
We will be able to see our television stars warts and all - literally. People and objects look as they do in real life, maybe with better clarity than when seen with the naked eye.
It argues that in a similar way to certain actors in the silent movies losing their appeal when the 'talkies' came along, so some actors will not be deemed beautiful enough.

Don't know if anyone has had a chance to see the new Battlestar Glactica in HD, but the heavily pockmarked Adama looks fantastic. His natural ruggedness seems to add a certain gravitas to the role that may have been lost if he'd been made-up to the nth degree
