While I haven’t personally had any first hand experience with Medion TVs, the guys over at Tech Digest seem fairly positive about their unique combination of quality build and low prices. And, with this 32” LCD sporting a price tag that is promised to be below £600, I have struggled to find any cheaper LCDs on the market.
The Medion MD 20099 has a resolution of 1366 x 768 and a brightness of 55 cd/m with contrast ratio of 1000:1. Stereo Nicam sound is delivered by 2 x 10 watt RMS and is supported by a five band equaliser. Connectivity-wise you only get a single HDMI socket but that is backed up by a VGA, S-Video and 2 x SCART ports. The MD 20099 will be selling from Toy-R-Us stores from the end of this month

A lot of people got excited over this TV over on AVSforum, until they actually got to use it. I think most people ended up asking for refunds as there were some screen problems. Something to be aware of, if you're considering this TV.
i had this tv for 19 days and the picture went very strange and unwatchable. medion said they would replace it within 48 hours, they didnt, then they said it would be here the next morning, it wasnt, this was after 3 calls to them totalling over 60 mins. my advice is stay clear the tv may be faulted but the customer service definitely is.
Now on my 3rd one of these in 2 months. Great at first then went about 2 colours, next one delivered came out the box like it had been hit by a truck, 3rd one delivered today and it not only rocks backwards and forwards as the legs are bent it's also only displaying in about 250 colours.
Personally the service I've received from Medion direct is first class, it's a shame their delivery and products fail on every count.
I bought this TV from TJ Hughes, from whome i part-time work for, considering this great deal, well supposedly. Infact you get what you pay for in the end with this Medion TV.
I had this for just over 22 days and the picture went hay-wire, and became unwatchable everytime the screen was on for 10 minutes or so.
Also the set clicks too much, in my opinion, maybe there is an issue with heat distribution within the set which affects other componants, although this is speculation of the actual fault i think its a fair stab at it, as it does get quite hot.
More to the point; and as a few other have said, they wouldn't reccommend it to they're worst enemy, in which i agree fully.
I bought this telly from Woolworths last week.
DVD picture quality is excellent, cannot fault it.
TV and video on the other hand. Pants. Absolute pants. The lag on dark areas is dreadfull. If someone is wearing a black suit it'll look like it's dancing!!
Video picture keeps going hazy and on occassion purple. I've tried the same tapes, using the same player on a 14" inch 10 year old telly and it's fine.
TV is going back to the store over the weekend and I'll ask for a replacement. If that's no better then I'll be requesting a refund.
