I've just been reading about Evesham's new 20.1-inch widescreen LCD HD-ready TV - the V20KCDX-E03, available for under £350.
Price-wise, that sounds impressive, but there are a few things left out.
For a start, there's no HDMI input - instead you get one DVI input (converter, anyone?), 2 SCARTs, Component video, S-video, VGA, and Composite video.
Optimum resolution is 1680 x 1050. Hmm, just 30 pixels shy of the 1080 mark, then...
Nevertheless, it will accept 720p and 1080i, and you could argue that it's not a bad starter HD-ready piece of kit.
Personally, I'd rather spend a bit more and get better connectivity and features.

Correct me if I am wrong but you simply can't see the extra detail of HD sources in sets below 32 inches - so what is the point of a set being marketed HD if it is so tiny. It's just an ordinary computer monitor.
I would not entirely agree with you there. I can see the extra detail on my 26 inch TV from an HD source. But I can't see the point of having such a small screen of 20 inches either.
20" is pointless for hd, very least you need is 24", pref 32"+ to really show the benefits of HD (unless you watch tv from 1ft away;)
