Kill Bill is stunning in HD
So far, the HD movie outings on Sky Movies HD have been somewhat lacklustre with the image and sound having the obvious benefits that HD brings but with none of the films having the same wow factor as has been experienced with nature programs and sport. Kill Bill Vol 1 on the other hand was a stunning example of the effect HD can have over a film.
Kill Bill was already a stunning film in both its cinematic stylization and also in its script and performances, with Uma Thurman producing a powerful and brilliant performance as The Bride. However, HD added something more to the film with the fights becoming more graphic and also somewhat more realistic. Frankly, the final fight where The Bride confronts O-Ren Ishii in the snow filled garden was simply gorgeous, with each snowflake being picked out. Also, the way The Bride's sword gleamed enhanced her character and made her appear more threatening.
So far, Kill Bill has been one of my HD highlights and if you get a chance to catch it on Sky Movies HD then it's worth a watch.

all in your opinion of course, HD or not I can't stand the film.
I see you didn't review the Pee-Wee Herman film on Sky HD yesterday
