Pioneer offers advice for plasma owners with Sky HD issues
Pioneer have published a statement on their web site giving advice to their plasma TV owners who have had HDCP issues when trying to watch Sky HD via the HDMI connection.
Upon installation of Sky HD, users may have been greeted with the sobering message "This display does not support HDCP. Please disconnect your HDMI connection."
This is the High Definition Copy Protection system playing up - and Pioneer aren't exactly sure why yet. At least they're providing official support for the issue, and offering repair to plasma sets (though naturally they're not claiming responsibility for this issue) whether or not the TV is in warranty. That's a good customer relations move on the part of Pioneer.
The interim solution is to watch Sky HD via component connections.
You can see the full release here.

I registered my pioneer plasma just before I bought SKY HD when my tv went off I was told it would cost £160.00 to collect the tv and a further £60.00 to look at it then if the fixing charge was over £200.00 they would ring and let me know.
Great support...I wouldnt touch a Pioneer plasma with a barge pole.
