Cyberlink, makers of the Windows PowerDVD software, have officially passed the testing requirements for playing HD DVD discs. Yeah, it's not hugely exciting - they now get to use the HD DVD logo on their software - but it does mean that you shouldn't experience any problems playing high-def content from a HD DVD player using their software.
There was no word on what the testing process involved, but I'd presume it involved testing HDCP copy-protection compliance and quality / speed of output playback.
