Hercules Dualpix HD webcam
Even webcams are going high-def these days, and at small prices too.
This offering from Hercules is the Dualpix HD which will shoot 30fps at 1.3 megapixel resolution - enough to qualify as 720p HD format. There's also a 3x optical zoom.
It'll also take photos at 5 megapixels, and has a built-in microphone. Dodgy home movies here we come!
It costs just £40 and comes with Webcam Studio Evolution software which comes with such exciting features as burst mode, infinite image, emotion delayer and travelling zoom.
The camera can be used with the major messaging services, too, and is coming in October.
