Samsung develop 70 inch full-HD LCD panel
Samsung have claimed the world's largest commercially available LCD full-HD panel, with the development of a 70-incher (it claims the previous largest was 65 inches). Full production is due to start in early 2007.
Samsung say the video signal is reproduced at 120Hz, twice that of conventional models, which should enable rapidly moving video images to be reproduced clearly - that is, if any content is going to even come close to that speed. The potential's there, though.
What I want to know is: who is going to have room for a 70-inch screen in their living room?
