Oh look, it's another "mine's bigger than yours" spat - bigger high-definition TV that is, and it's certainly not commercially available.
The University of Texas' football team has shown off a screen 55 foot tall by 134 foot wide - my rudimentary Pythagorean theory tells me that's nearly 145 foot diagonal. Phew. Associated Press have reported that it's nearly as wide as the football field itself. Apparently the players call it "Godzillatron". Awww, bless.
It cost a cool $8m, but that's not the only cost as UoT had to upgrade their electrics to be able to supply the screen with enough power.
It may only be the biggest for a short while, but it's an achievement. And the players may yet be able to hook up their Xbox to it. How mad is that?
