Though the details are rather sketchy about who the 1100 people interviewed where (or even where they came from) a study by the Digital Entertainment Group shows that 97% were very happy with their HDTV, with 59% saying they watched more TV because they had a high-definition set.
Still, 28& say they're unsure how their set is connected, with only 11% believing it's connected up with HDMI.
My presumption is that this is a US survey. It will be interesting to see whether the same sort of results will be reflected in the UK when high-def really gets going. I'm not sure I'll want to watch move TV just because it's in high-def, though the allure of films and sport could get the better of me.
What do you think?
