After their 720p EMP-TW700 projector arrived, Epson have now gone the whole HD hog and are releasing in December - to Japan at least - their EMP-TW1000 3LCD 1080p projector incorporating the latest HDMI 1.3 port.
Reading between the Japanese lines, it appears to feature an Epson Twin Optimise Reflection Lamp (E-TORL), brightness of 1,200 lumens, contrast ratio of 12,000:1, and feature Epson's Colour Reality III system. That's all about I can glean.
However, the HDMI 1.3 - when supplied with appropriate content - will allow for much greater colour depth (48 bit) to be projected, plus handling lossless audio formats.
Equivalent price is around £1600 though if and when it arrives here it'll probably be a lot more than that.
