Sony diss Microsoft's movie download plans
Sony has apparently attacked Microsoft over its latest plans to allow movies and TV content to be downloaded by North American customers on Xbox Live. Well, we wouldn't expect Sony to agree on anything Microsoft do, nor vice versa, would we?
Reports say they've accused Microsoft of leaving out some customers. The reasoning is a little poor, as seems to be the way with Sony. From what I can tell they're saying that Microsoft is shutting people out of the entertainment experience because they can't afford the top of the line system.
I'm not sure if they're having a go at the principle of downloading movies or not, but the fact is that you do get what you pay for, and there will be a lot of people that will be priced out of getting a PS3, even though it has some more features as standard.
They're also supposedly peeved that Microsoft is releasing the service just a few days after the PS3 hits the US market. Did they really expect Microsoft not to do something big before Christmas?
It's all a bit tit-for-tat and both consoles will sell to their respective fans, and to those who do some research and plump for the best console for their own gaming and entertainment purposes, within their budget.
I don't think this statement in itself would ever rule Sony out of going down the Microsoft / Apple line of providing content downloads.
Gleaned from Hexus and Planet Xbox 360.

that is such a load of crap:-
