Rob Enderle wrote a very interesting piece over at Digital Trends last week, which seems to nicely sum up the state of HD DVD, Blu-ray, and Internet downloads, at least in the US.
The conclusion he draws is that HD DVD is currently winning, due to Sony's Blu-ray delays, perceived better quality of HD DVD, and lower price.
Even though Sony has some big name support (Dell, Apple, Disney), and HD DVD is surging ahead, in the end both HD DVD and Blu-ray could fail with the rise in popularity of Internet movie downloads from the likes of Microsoft and Apple.
Whilst there's not a whole lot of new information here, it's a good read on what 2007 could bring.
