Sharp have announced that they're investing 'several billion Yen' to build a dedicated line in Japan for the production of blue laser diodes.
Production will begin this year with about 150,000 units a month and will be expanded to 500,000 units by September 2007.
This is good news as blue-laser products grow in popularity. It's supposedly Sony's current shortage of diodes that has delayed the PS3's launch in Europe.
