With anything high definition, delays seem to go with the territory, but several of the US gadget sites are now reporting that Toshiba's HD-A2 HD DVD player is now finally on the shelves.
This second-generation player was due out in October, but I take delivery dates with a pinch of salt these days. Now it's December, and some retail outlets are stocking the players.
Now I know it's not much use to us here in Britain, but maybe it'll speed up those European models we're all waiting for...
(yes I know some stockists say they have HD-E1s in stock, but we know they don't.
