Oh if only it were true. Woolworths managed to mess up the price of a high definition TV on their website last week, listing the 42 inch LCD HDTV for just £150.
Not surprisingly all orders have been dropped - the real price was £1,150 - which is closer to the truth.
Wouldn't that have been a nice Christmas present?

there's no way it was a mistake, they had 6 different TV's all at £150 from 26" up to 42", not only that, but they had them on the website for about 5 hours and had tens of thousands of orders, even when they knew something was up they still had them on their site. it takes a matter of seconds to remove something from a site, not 5 hours!
it was a scam by Woolworths to get you on their site, and in some cases get your money and not return it for "5-7 working days"
It's ridiculus if a company can get away with this.
1. At no point in Registration or during the sale was I asked to agree to their Terms & Conditions which they are waving about like a Get out of Jail card. If I didn't agree, how can it be part of the contract?
2. They offered the TVs for sale, I placed my order, confirmed it and supplied the requested Credit Card details. This means that the contract is complete. (Offer, Acceptance, Payment).
I tend to agree that it looks like a bit of a scam to get visitors to their site, and yes we're still talking about it so it has worked.
