AACS Licensing Authority to pursue code crackers

The AACS Licensing Authority, having confirmed HD DVD and Blu-ray hacking, have said that they will use "both technical and legal measures to deal with attacks."

The Authority say that the attack was on specific players sold by AACS licensees, and will have only a limited effect on the AACS protection system itself.

"AACS LA is using all appropriate remedies at its disposal to address the attack," a statement continued.

Expect a legal pursuit to be forthcoming.
