There’s a slight change to Stargate's scheduling this week, which returns for its first episode since December and, if you’re using Sky+, will need to be manually reprogrammed into your Planner as it’s not been on for a couple of weeks (oh, TiVo, where are you when we need you?).
Stargate Atlantis has also temporarily moved to 8pm on Wednesday instead of its companion show, SG-1, which has shifted to Tuesday, making room for the miniseries Killer Wave. For UK viewers, though, it’s time to feel complacent because we’re are now ahead of the US, who won’t see this episode (which resolves the two-parter, The Return) until April...
For that reason, not much advance information is available for the episode, however, we can expect to find Atlantis now under the control of the Asurans – the ‘fake’ Ancients constructed from intelligent nanites who attacked soon after the original Ancients returned to reclaim their city (do keep up!).
We can also expect to find out the fate of Jack O’Neill (special guest star Richard Dean Anderson) and Richard Woolsey (Star Trek Voyager’s Robert Picardo), who were in Atlantis when communication with Earth was lost.
At the end of part one, Sheppard and McKay had disobeyed orders and were about to launch a daring rescue. Rumour has it that part of the story revolves around the ‘sympathetic’ Asuran replicant Niam (John O'Callaghan), returning from the episode Progeny.
