Toshiba has announced that it plans to release the first laptop PC that supports writing the HD DVD-R (write-once) format. It will be an upgrade of the Qosmio G30 laptop released last year.
It will be based on a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, with 17inch widescreen able to display 1920x1280 resolution. It will also feature a 320GB hard drive, digital TV tuner, and HDMI output. It will run Vista Home Premium Edition.
