Denon have unveiled another in their line of DVD upscalers, with the DVD-2930. It's a high-end universal disc player with REON VX upscaling and picture enhancement.
The player doesn't simply upscale to 1080p, but first uses REON VX Picture Improvement CIrcuitry to enhance them with broadcast-quality Silicon Optix, the same technology used by US HDTV networks who need to broadcast standard definition content.
REON VX runs at 1 trillion operations per second, processing each individual pixel in real time, whilst minimising picture noise, enhancing sharpness, and maximising resolution. The technology claims to scale a well-mastered DVD close to high definition quality, and even poor quality DVDs are improved. It's one of the first DVD players to use full 10-bit video processing.
The player also includes advanced AL24 Plus digital audio processing and Gigabit DenonLink3 for high quality audio using matching Denon components. It features heavy anti-vibration construction, audio and video boards separated with multiple power supplies, five matched Burr-Brown 24/192 DACS equal quality on all channels, and a pure stereo path and audiophile capacitors for the analogue power supply.
Another great piece of kit from Denon that preserves and enhances your existing DVD and CD audio libraries.
