JVC's 1080p GZ-HD7 camcorder will promote sales of high definition disc burners
Digitimes reports that sales of JVC's GZ-HD7 1080p-capable high definition camcorder will encourage users to buy high definition disc burners of both Blu-ray and HD DVD formats.
This isn't a great surprise. Consumers who can capture 5 hours worth of 1080p video on their new camcorder will want to archive it and make it easily watchable by putting it on a high definition disc.
The JVC camcorder comes with software for transferring video to optical disc, and given that it won't take long to fill even a large capacity hard drive with footage from the camera's 60GB hard disc, optical discs seem to be the way to go.

I am sorry, it's NOT 1080p only 1080i.
Sincerely,
Trond Lid,Norway.
