Phillip Swann reports on a number of star interviews shot in high definition and to be shown at the opening of the Oscars.
Apparently, both Clint Eastwood and Steven Spielberg both refused any makeup, preferring to appear 'au naturelle' for their interviews, undeterred that the HD footage will show up their 'imperfections'. Good for them, I say.
When Peter O'Toole was told that the special airbrushing spray designed specifically to mask blemishes before HD shooting, he asked if it could be sprayed on his hands.
Eddie Murphy came with his own hair and makeup people, whilst Penelope Cruz was told that her skin tone wasn't right for airbrushing, and instead needed her overall foundation refined.
All according to Cindy Adams of the New York Post.
