Edge of Light to produce Blu-ray titles for independent filmmakers
Last week we reported on the Blu-ray Disc Association's new BD Light licensing agreement introduced to help smaller, independent filmmakers and studios.
Now, John Daly (executive producer of movies such as "The Terminator"), and Erick Hansen of Blue Ray Technologies Inc, have partnered to form Edge of Light Media, a company that will make and distribute Blu-ray discs for independent film and video makers.
Edge of Light seeks to open up the Blu-ray market to indie producers, and help to broaden consumer adoption of Blu-ray through making available old movies, videos and TV shows.
They have also made it clear that they won't be producing content for HD DVD.
