In similar vein to Netgear's Digital Entertainer HD, the Linksys KiSS 1600 is a wireless high definition media player that connects to your home network via 802.11g Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet.
It can play a variety of media including Windows Media 9 HD, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, and H.264 AVC, and it can connect to Internet radio and online games.
It has an HDMI 1.2 connection and can output high definition up to 720p. It also has a USB connector for playing media files and connecting memory sticks.
It has no built-in hard drive but does have a standard DVD player that will upscale to 720p.
Available from April priced £260.
