Universal to introduce HD DVDs with web interactivity by year end

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has stated that it intends to produce HD DVDs with Internet connectivity by the end of this year, according to Kevin Collins, Microsoft director of HD DVD evangelism.

Interactive features, a key benefit of high definition discs, are being ramped up this year by various studios including Universal and 20th Century Fox.
