Envirovision launches waterproof HD ready 19" TV
Envirovision has launched two 19 inch HD ready waterproof TVs that are specifically designed for the bathroom.
One version (19EA) comes with separate high quality waterproof speakers that can be mounted from the ceiling, whilst the other (19IA) has internal waterproof speakers.
Resolution is 1440 x 900, which tends to be found on 19 inch computer monitors, and will yield black bars top and bottom as the screen ratio is 16:10.
The screens have a brightness of 500cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 800:1, and an impressive response rate of 2ms. Viewing angle is 175 degrees horizontally and 155 degrees vertically.
It has one HDMI input - some wireless application would be great in this environment. The specifications stay silent on just how HD this TV is, so I'll take a guess at 720p/1080i.
Both are available in a range of high quality finishes including mirror polished stainless steel, brush polished stainless steel, black, gold, or mirror screened.
Optional extras include a Sky remote control link, and a multi systems remote control link to control other devices.
The unit is easy to install, and seals flush against the bathroom wall.
The TV is available now, and though it's hard to tell how much it will cost, it'll be at least £1000.
