ProjectionDesign has announced its smallest and most efficient single-chip DLP projector capable of projecting a 720p image using BrilliantColor technology.
It utilises Texas Instruments' one-chip DLP technology, and claims it gives the best picture from such a projector - close to 3-chip performance for one-third of the price.
The M20 replaces the Model Two and offers BrilliantColor technology which ensures stronger, more saturated colours, enhanced image gradation, colour gamut, and tonality.
The projector's ultra high-precision 6-segment (RGBCMY), 7x colour wheel rotates at a 11,700 rpm and yet the whole projector runs at around 24dB.
The M20 is housed in a small, stylish magnesium cabinet that also serves as a heat sink. It's available in three finishes: Vanquish Grey, Pearl White, and Maranello Blue.
The projector measures in at 234mm x 278mm x 94mm and weighs under 3kg.
It offers better than 4000:1 true optical contrast, 1000 video-optimised ANSI lumens from a 220W UHP lamp, and has a DVI-D HDCP/HDMI compatible input.
A wide-angle version will be available.
It's available for £3500
