Hewlett-Packard has announced that from tomorrow (May 9th) it is to offer several upgrade offers to its Pavilion Media Centre m8010y Series and d4890y Series desktop PCs.
This will include a Blu-ray reader and writer that can also read HD DVDs, as well as read and write standard DVDs and CDs.
According to reports, they'll be using LG's "Super Multi Blue" drive announced last month.
Movie playback options will depend upon what other hardware and software is in the PC (hacks and cracks aside), but at the very least the drive will be good for mass data storage.
