I've just watched a TV advert from the Eye Health Alliance and Varilux Specialist Opticians, who have decided to use the increasing interest in high definition TV to their advantage.
"High Definition television will bring unprecedented levels of quality and sharpness to your TV picture" reads the first caption.
"but if your eyesight's not what it was... you could spend hundreds of pounds on an HD Ready TV... and never really see the benefit".
Then comes the voice-over:
"Before you buy an HD Ready TV, it might be an idea to make sure you have HD Ready eyesight. Be ready for HD."
Interesting to see the use of HD in non-consumer electronics advertising.
