According to TVPredictions, Sony and Panasonic have scooped brand loyalty awards for their high definition TVs.
The 2007 Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement Index is based on telephone interviews amongst men and women aged 18-60.
Sony's LCD TVs and Panasonic's plasma TVs have the most loyal customers.
The brand whose drivers come closest to meeting (or even exceeding) those of the category Ideal is always the one whose customers will demonstrate the highest levels of engagement and loyalty over the next 12 to 18 months," says the Brand Keys web site.
So, much as people like to pick on Sony, it seems that once you're a customer (at least, of their LCD TVs), you're hooked and will be more likely to buy from them in the future. As for Panasonic plasmas.
