Sharp introduce XR series video projectors
Sharp has introduced three new video projectors in its XR series, aimed at business, education, and mobile presentation.
The two most suitable for HD content are the XR-40X and XR-30X, both featuring 1,024x768 resolution, and having a contrast ratio of 2,200:1 and a brightness of 2,600 or 2,300 ANSI lumens.
They incorporate a Condenser Lens Optical System that creates rich black tones and sharp on-screen images, plus a 3x speed 4-segment colour wheel with enhanced white colour segment to optimise white levels and brightness.
They offer HDTV/DTV compatibility, with a scaler than transforms TV signals into non-interlaced video. They have HDCP-compliant DVI-D ports.
Available in the US in July, for an RRP of $1,295 for the XR-40X and $1,195 for the XR-30X.
