Two European high definition disc releases, one for each 'camp', have received THX certification.
"Pan's Labyrinth" on HD DVD, and "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" on Blu-ray, have both gone through the certification process.
THX is the trade name of a high-fidelity sound reproduction system, and was created by Lucasfilm in 1982 to ensure that the soundtrack for "Return of the Jedi" would be accurately reproduced.
