Sharp has an extensive new range of Aquos LCDs lined up with a sum of 16 screens in varying sizes between 26in - 52in. The range has been named the G Series and is expected to go on sale in Japan towards the end of this summer before arriving in the UK at the end of the year.
As you can see the design has been given a facelift with distinctive grey-silver styling, cool new pedestal stand and optional speakers that can be ignored if you've already got your own surround system. And the underlying high-definition technology looks equally impressive.
All models between 37in – 52in feature full HD resolutions (1920x1080) while the smaller 26in and 32in models use a typical WXGA (1366x768) panel. The large 37in+ screens support 120Hz processing with 2000:1 contrast ratio, 450cd/m2 brightness and three HDMI inputs.
There's a choice of speaker design with either side mounted options (LC- 52GX4W, LC-52GX45, LC-46GX4W, LC-46GX45, LC-42GX4W, LC-37GX4W, LC-32GH4, LC-26GH4) or a single speaker beneath the screen (LC-52GX3W, LC-52GX35, LC-46GX3W, LC-46GX35, LC-42GX3W, LC-37GX3W, LC-32GH3, LC-26GH3).
If you can't wait until later this year then have a look at Sharp's existing Aquos series.
