Sharp receives eco-friendly label for TVs
If environmental issues are keeping you from investing in power hungry electronics then Sharp has developed a range of HDTVs to ease your concerns.
Sharp claim it's the only consumer electronics brand to be awarded the European Commission's Eco-label for its TVs. The company's LC-AD5E range and the small sized LC-20SD5E LCD have been hailed as being environmentally friendly.
Djelloul Kitter, Sharp’s head of regulatory compliance and environment, declared: “Sharp’s commitment to environmental protection is evident in not only our 40th EU Eco-label award but also in the many other international energy-efficiency awards we receive.”
Gaining green credentials is one of the most discussed topics in the consumer electronic industry with a recent European discussion between manufacturers and PR departments agreeing to promote the subject and promising more extensive media coverage later this year.
