At their summer press event in New York, Toshiba announced that it has discontinued all rear projection TVs in favour of flat panel LCDs.
It also unveiled its largest REGZA LCD TV, at 57 inches, as well as new 46, 47, and 52 inch models.
Toshiba is reportedly making leaps and bounds in market share on its larger LCD TVs, so presumably the economics are now such that they wish to invest far more heavily in their LCD panel technologies than in any other screen technology.
Their TVs include 120Hz 1080p TVs with PixelPure3G, DynaLight, ClearFrame, and ColorBurst technology.
