Unicam installs high-definition demonstration rooms across Europe
Unicam Europe has installed over 450 high-definition video distribution and sound room comparator systems in consumer electronics retailers across Europe.
The company is a European agent for Audio Authority, whose comparator and distribution systems drive the retailer demonstration rooms. The systems are extremely flexible and allow retailers to demonstrate as few as two screens or as many as 960 – all managed from a central control room. It can accept any number of different inputs, which means retailers can demonstrate the differences between standard and high-definition TV. The system also allows easy integration of multiple sources like HD disc players that can be remotely switched so that consumers can see a variety of different images.
"Consumers need help to make informed decisions and demonstrations help them understand the differences between LCD, plasma screens and High-Definition products. Retailers are thus able to share their knowledge and help customers ensure their new purchases are as 'future proof' as possible. And it's all very easy," said Ad van der Stock, European Sales Manager for Unicam.
Although the demonstration systems haven’t reached the UK yet they can be found in Denmark, Norway, Greece, Turkey, Holland and Germany.
