Although Microsoft has yet to make an official announcement, the price of the new Xbox 360 Elite next generation games console has been confirmed by leading games retailers.
According to Play, HMV and Game, the Xbox 360 Elite will go on sale for £330 when it reaches shops on August 24th, The latest model features a new glossed black design and 120GB hard drive with an HDMI ouput and supplied cable, which means you can use it right out of the box - unlike the PS3.
Meanwhile, sales of the PS3 have finally reached the one million mark in Japan. Reports have calculated that the PS3 sold 1.01m units by July – compared to 2.9m Wii consoles and only 420,075 Xbox 360s.
